Dealing with Over Arousal
“We have all experienced pre competitive nerves – and some of us to such a degree that life becomes almost unbearable leading up to the competitive event. Any honest sportsperson would also admit to getting nervous during the event itself to such a degree that their performance suffers. The term commonly used to describe this over arousal is‘choking’. This article describes how over arousal occurs and provides you with some useful techniques to reduce its incidence rate and its effects on your performance.”
