Jamie Donaldson takes another Badwater in 27:20:18
There was no fooling around for Jamie Donaldson in this year’s Badwater. She and her crew had a plan and they followed it to the letter….no running under a 10 minute mile pace, stop every 20 miles to change socks and shoes, and keep it steady throughout. And so she did – toughing out conditions that were hotter than last year and braving a knee that started to swell 90 miles into the run. She didn’t even slow to walk until she’d reached Lone Pine, but by then she’d outdistanced the rest of the women to finish easily as this years champion. Check out the video of her finish below:
